The Witch of Theta Blog

Welcome to Theta Mountain!

I'm Michele! It's nice to have you here in my corner of the world! As you guessed from the title, I'm a witch - specifically a Hearth Witch!

Some people say, “A house is not a home,” but not if a hearth witch can help it! In literature, the hearth symbolizes the heart and soul of a home. A hearth witch is someone whose witchcraft centers on their house. According to many, the hearth witch is a combination of the green witch and the kitchen witch. The hearth witch strongly connects with nature as the green witch does, but the hearth witch focuses their magic indoors as the kitchen witch does.
If you were to ask a hearth witch what their typical afternoon was like, they will most likely recount their candle-making, knitting, or weaving session to you in great detail. The hearth witch is most energized in the comfort of their home, and they harness their magic by constantly improving this sacred space with their own handmade crafts.

Hygge is a thing with me!

Fall and winter are, without a doubt, my two favorite seasons. It's a time to slow down and reset our clocks, a time to rest. It's also when we pull out our sweaters and comfy blankets and quilts and cook deliciously filling foods.

This is where I will be sharing all the things I've learned about being a Hearth Witch. Celebrating the Wheel of the Year, slowing down and creating your own magic with your interests and hobbies. I promise, there is nothing wrong with slowing down and not being productive the way our thoroughly modern, disconnected society wants us to be. The world will keep turning, the sun will still rise and set and the seasons will continue to change.

And yet you will change . . .

As you learn to slow down and release all the things you've been told you need to be, you'll find yourself growing calmer, less anxious, less connected to the internet and all it's drama, more deeply connected to your own Soul and the actual people around you.

Let's create a slow community here. A place to celebrate and be celebrated. All I ask is that we all respect each other's differences - because that is what makes a community stronger and safer, and I think that's what we all need right now.

Sign up to receive all my blog posts below. Keep an eye out on Fridays - which will be my regular posting day. I'll also host online gatherings in the future, so watch out for those as well!

Thank you for being you and for sharing here!
